Sydney, Australia – Top things to do

My top 1o things to do in vibrant Sydney, Australia:

  1. Stroll the Bondi to Coogi Coastal Walk. This is an absolute must do. Start at Bondi Icebergs Club and walk as far as you’d like along the breathtaking Australian coast. Bonus if you do it while the annual Sculpture by the Sea exhibition is going on – Late October to Early November.Snaps from a few of the exhibits at the 2018 Sculpture by the Sea:
  2. Watch sunset at Mrs. Macqueris Park. This park offers great views of the Opera House with the Bridge behind it anytime of day, but sunset really brings out some amazing colors as the sun sets behind the opera house.
  3. Grab brunch at The Grounds of Alexandria. This place is more then just a restaurant, it’s a cafe, bar, florist, market and farm all in one. We wandered through the grounds while we waited for our table. I wish I took a picture of our brunch- the food was amazing. Definitely want to make a reservation. 1e813382-5243-4245-a8da-457d1b4cf498
  4. Walk the Sydney Harbour Bridge. The below photo was taken walking across the bridge. On a sunny aussie day this walk gives you an incredible birds eye view of the harbor and city skyline. There’s also a public garden on the other side of the bridge if you walk down and to the left. It’s a nice little spot with a different perspective looking back at the bridge. Also a great place to sneak some kisses 😉
  5. Try your hand at surfing with a lesson at Bondi Beach. Lets go Surfing offers small group beginner 2 hour lessons. Other outfits offer day trips to less populated beaches nearby.
  6. Take a day trip to Royal National Park. The park is about 1.5 hrs outside of Sydney has many great hikes, some that take you right down to the water.
  7. Take in the art and enjoy patio drinks along the Bondi Beach Boardwalk.
  8. Hit up The Rocks Market. Tucked in between Circular Quay and the Harbour Bridge is a fun outdoor market with Australian food specialties and handmade products. From jewelry to housewares this is a great place to pickup unique souvenirs. I tried some kangaroo skewers and they were surprisingly delicious.
  9. Take a ferry to Manly Beach. You can hop on a ferry from circular Quay over to Manly beach. The ferry provides great views of the harbour from the water and Manly is a fun laid back beach lined with funky restaurants and roof top bars.
  10. Visit Diamond Bay Reserve. This is a small quieter park with a boardwalk path out to cliffs dropping into the water. If you’re lucky you might find rock climbers scaling the cliffs.

I hope you enjoyed this post and get a chance to visit beautiful Sydney. Drop me a comment if you have any questions!
